This argument is held against the morality of abortion. In fact, what makes this argument of high intellectual interest to me is that it has a logical approach to the subject. Don Marquis, the writer of the article, draws a comparaisom between the killing of an adult human being and the killing of a fetus. He finally puts the two parts on equal footing by stating that the fact of killing them is just the same. Since killing an adult is considered wrong because it deprives the person of its future, killing a fetus, though not a person yet, is as wrong since it deprives it of its rightful future as a person. Personnally, I fully agree with this point of view. I think that a fetus has the right to see the light and live a life like we all have done. However, there are always exceptions.
